Gambling alone is definitely relaxing. From time to time, however, it is a welcome change to have a session with your friends. We have compiled a list of the top 16 4-person co-op games.
We didn't include almost any full-price titles in our shortlist. We have also omitted Battle Royale games from the list.
Because the majority of the gameplay should be able to be played together and it was important to us when making the selection that you or your friends don't have to dig deep into your wallet right away.
1.Sea of Thieves
Available on: Windows, Xbox One, Xbox Series
Steam Remote Play Together: No
Price: €39.99
The pirate adventure has a stunning setting, requires team coordination, and is wonderful for your home theater.
With SoT, developer Rare has released the best game in its studio history so far.
You can use your loot to buy cosmetic enhancements. Of course, your gold doesn't give you an advantage in gameplay, but that's a good thing.
The game stands or falls by the people you play it with. A great group of friends carries you loosely and easily through 100 hours of gameplay.
The game is already included in Xbox Game Pass. At the moment you can get this for 1€ in the first month. However, the offer is only valid for new customers.
Definitely a good idea to try. You can also transfer progress to Steam later if you decide to make a purchase.
2. Monster Hunter World
Available on: Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, Playstation 4
Steam Remote Play Together: No
Price: €29.99
A very western take on the Monster Hunter genre, but it works. Monster Hunter World has received very good feedback from the western community.
For example, we were very surprised that monsters aren't just hit sponges that you have to wring out with your weapons.
Rather, it is important that you pay attention to the weak points of the monsters. Attacks on body parts give you different loot.
In theory, you can lure one monster into another's a den and wait for them both to fight their way down.
The biggest hanger of the game is the grind mechanics. You will see that you will definitely have to invest a few hours for certain armor parts.
By the way, even a session alone is no problem if your group doesn't have time. The game also works great in single mode.
3. Satisfactory
Available on: Microsoft Windows
Steam Remote Play Together: No
Price: €29.99 (Early Access)
Basically, the essence of Satisfactory is efficiency. The goal is to build the most efficient factory possible on an alien planet and mine resources.
The game is currently in the Early Access phase and does not offer all the features that were available in 1.0. the release will be available.
But with the help of the players, errors can be identified and corrected. Otherwise, the game is just too big for the development team.
Our Satisfactory article will bring you up to date and describe the game in detail.
4. Destiny 2

Steam Remote Play Together: Yes
Price: €59.99
Not every group is in the mood for fast shooters. RTS games are even more hectic, and MOBAs are too hard to learn quickly in a couple of evenings.
Civilization 6, therefore, offers you tactical gameplay without strenuous hectic.
Just get the main game in the next sale for at least a 50% discount. You can get the big expansions later when your group likes the game and wants more.
The turn-based system is somewhat reminiscent of the settlers of Catan. However, Civ 6 is much more complex and time-consuming.
6. Borderlands 3
Available on: Microsoft Windows, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Playstation 5, Playstation 4, Mac OS, Stadia
Steam Remote Play Together: No
Price: €59.99
If you and your friends love loot, then Borderlands is for you.
You could give yourselves the full saga from the start, but take our word for it:
While Borderlands 1 may be a genre-defining game, it's also a very tough game.
Borderlands 2 and The Pre-Sequel are a lot more dynamic than the first part, but still not as up-to-date as we would like.
So get Borderlands 3 right now and just play it with your friends. You can replay the old parts if you feel like some storytelling.
The third part still costs €60 and will probably not be reduced until the next sale. However, for a 50% discount, Borderlands 3 is definitely worth it.

The 2D beat-'em-up enjoys great popularity among the active community. Four players is the maximum number of players.
The 25 different characters play in different ways, as they all have different base values and are therefore suitable for different roles.
A cool mini-game for in between. Even if we think €12 is too expensive. However, the game will definitely be available with a huge discount for the Christmas sale.

13. Robocraft

You certainly know World of Tanks. A very time-consuming game in which you have to unlock higher and higher levels in order to be able to play in higher lobbies.
While the game is fun, it can be quite difficult to get your friend excited about the game and especially the time investment.
That's why we recommend Robocraft. You can assemble your tank yourself and start a battle.
Your vehicle does not even have to be a conventional tank. Even flying vehicles are possible.
The game generally has a much quicker start than what you might expect in World of Tanks.
Robocraft is completely free to play on Steam, requires little storage space, and has fairly low minimum requirements.
14. Overcooked 2

Expect to be reminded of your mistakes from the last round of Overcooked every time you cook something real.
15. Sanctum 2
Available on: Microsoft Windows, Linux, macOS
Steam Remote Play Together: No
Price: €14.99
Tower defense games haven't enjoyed much popularity lately.
Sanctum 2 maybe a few years old, but it still has fairly unique gameplay.
The first-person shooter tower defense game puts you in the middle of the path that your opponents have to walk down.
Your task is to set up a defense system and then personally stand in the way with your gun.
Unfortunately, Sanctum 3 is not in the works yet, but it is a very popular game among developers.
In the next few years, you can certainly hope for a successor.
